We have developed a aerial banner towing equipment especially for ultralight aircraft with which banners up to 150 square meters can be towed.<\/p>

The system is easy to use and can be set up and made ready for take-off in a short time by one person. See\u00a0video<\/a><\/p>

The ingenious thing about our system is the ground launch. The banner is laid out on the runway behind the tow plane before take-off and attached to the plane with the tow rope. You can then take off immediately with the banner attached, just like a glider tow.<\/p>

The special feature of our system is the 2 wheel disks on the head bar, so that the front part of the advertising banner runs on rollers. If the banner is lying on the ground without the wheel disks, the banner would drag on the ground and be damaged.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

During take-off, the negative pressure created between the fabric and the ground would suck the banner to the ground (Venturi effect) and jeopardize the take-off of the aircraft. The 2 wheel disks on the head bar allow the air to flow under the banner during take-off and counteract the Venturi effect.\u00a0(see photo<\/strong>) In addition, the air flowing past prevents damage to the banner fabric.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The ground launch procedure saves effort and costs and can be carried out independently by a pilot. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming and technically demanding aerotow procedure, in which the banner is picked up during the flight. The ground launch is less demanding in terms of flying technique and no special preparations need to be made as with the catch towing procedure.<\/p>

The ground launch was specially developed for ultralight aircraft because this type of launch is not dangerous for light aircraft. Picking up a large banner in flight can be very dangerous for light aircraft due to the sudden drop in speed at the moment the banner is picked up.<\/p>

The ground launch has been used successfully in Germany since 2004 and has proven itself in numerous banner tows.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
